How did Lacy Llama get started?
I am a Wife, Mother, and an Artist.
My biggest inspiration for my watercolor business is my Father. He is the most creative person I know! Able to work with any artistic medium you could think of! How my father has lived his life has made me fall in love with art.
Throughout my whole educational life you could find me doodling dreamily in each class. I dreamed of drawing for Disney for a LONG time, but as I got older reality hit me and I believed that drawing would never get me anywhere.
As life went on I got married and life seemed grand. One thing is for sure though, I had never been so poor! As my friends began getting married I so desperately wanted to give them gifts! With no money I had to think of something creative! I fell in love with the "Willow Tree" figurines at an early age from my Mother and decided to draw something similar in a faceless style.
Watercolor is such a popular medium and I decided to give it a shot again. The last time I had picked up a brush I had done very poorly in a painting class in high school, I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it! I began offering them to friends and family for a very low price! Some even free! Slowly but surely I have expanded and raised my prices! And branched out to different areas! My style has drastically changed in the past 5 years! I am so grateful for the support of my dream! Can't wait to see what the future holds!
